“ Friends, what an amazing experience! Came to El Turco for the first time and was greeted by amazing atmosphere and incredible food. There's no question why this restaurant has Michelin stars. I enjoyed the food like crazy. My brother has travelled to Turkey and ordered the food for us. He said it's exactly like the people in Turkey taught him to eat. And it tasted delicious!! We were ravenous with the food. The staff were so attentive: Umut, the manager, was great and always coming by to check in on us in between the times the servers came by. He further brought us Baklava on the house for us And ontop of all of that the atmosphere was incredible! The large tree in the center of the plaza creating a canopy of shade and good breeze, the people walking by to the boutiques. ”
“ Awesome location in Upper Buena Vista surrounded by a couple cute shops and restaurants. I really enjoyed my food here. It was fresh, authentic and Michelin star rated. We did wait a while to secure a table, like 25/30min as the location is small - no biggie as we explored the cute colorful shops. The restaurant has a scannable QR code for the menu like most places, however it's super cool that when you click the menu items there is a realistic video and/or picture of the dish for the visual people like myself! We ended up getting their proteins bowls that were both filling and tasty! Along with that we got a side to share. Loved the experience. Would come back and would recommend! ”
“ Went to another Turkish/Mediterranean spot and this was a recommendation via another foodie! Each dish was very fire tapas style but filling! The atmosphere was like i was in Tulum... This place is definite a vibe with different restaurants, cafes, ice cream! Now the good part the FOOD!!! We ordered some eggplant, humus, some sort of meatballs, lamb chops, the manti dumplings, some lamb over rice, tomato salad FIRE, shrimp and i forgot what else... LOL i always OD on ordering but it was SLAMMMMIN! And of course for dessert the baklava dessert was sweet but not too sweet made to perfection! I loved it all. I will be back again soon!!! ”
“ Food - 4.5 Service 4.5 Ambiance - 5 Price quality ratio - 5 Tasty Mediterranean/Turkish spot with a diverse menu. The service is pretty quick. I have been here a couples of times and will return for sure. Looking forward to the opening of their new location at the design district. Enjoy! ”
“ We were craving Mediterranean food and had this restaurant on my list for a while. They only have a few tables inside but the majority of the tables are under the beautiful Banyan tree. The night was beautiful and the weather perfect, in the 70's. Perfect Miami Weather for December/January. Their menu is not that extensive but what I liked was their digital menu showing the plates being prepared. It will entice to order anything from the menu. We were three and decided to have the eggplant, yogurt sauce and El Turco Salad ( feta and tomatoes). The bread was delicious. Their drink menu is basic and drinks is just red and white Turkish wine. I had a glass of red. It was really good. We were not full and wanted to try the phyllo filled with beef, it was really savory. To end we order the baklava and I like that it was not cold. Other restaurants serve it cold, this one was just perfect. Definitely a restaurant for a date or to hang out with friends. There is valet parking and when full it could get busy and take time to get your car. If you can UBER, more convenient. ”
“ absolutely every single vegetarian item I tried was soooooo outstanding. just come here and order a vegetarian platter with a bunch of pita bread and some additional dips. Lentil soup was quite hearty and lemony and I'm someone that orders one every time I see it on the menu! ingredients are really fresh, everything tastes home-cooked with love. the Shrimp Casserole (shrimp in garlic sauce, not casserole like you'd think) and Su Borek (cheese pie) were soooo addictive. Just wow. Also loved the lil detail of using crunchy lettuce as dividers for the different dips on the platter bc that was a great bite on its own. Misssssing you El Turco!! ”
“ Stumbled upon this restaurant during art Basel weekend. I saw they received Michelin stars so of course I had to try them out. The restaurant is located inside upper Buena vista. They have indoor and outdoor seatings. We started off with a beef protein bowl, it was so delicious and flavorful. Next we had the lamb casserole also very good. We had the goat milk ice cream that was very creamy and so yummy. The service was ok, I took a star off because the waiter just took our order then never returned. Another reason for taking a star was that they didn't serve liquor. They do serve wine but certain wines you can only buy the bottle. A little frustrating when all I wanted was a glass of Prosecco but I had to but the entire bottle for it. They need to rethink how they sell their wines. Overall the food was spectacular. I see why they received a star: ”
“ I had the pleasure of dining at El Turco this afternoon, and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance is incredibly inviting, with outdoor seating set in a peaceful area surrounded by trees and charming Middle Eastern decor, including beautiful evil eye ornaments. The food was delightful and perfect for sharing, making it a great spot to visit with friends or family. The staff kept us well-supplied with tea throughout our meal, adding a warm touch to the experience. I ordered the Manti, which was excellent--delicate little dumplings stuffed with beef, topped with creamy garlic yogurt and a drizzle of olive oil that brought everything together beautifully. My friend tried the Doner Wrap, packed with flavor and a fresh texture, while another friend went for the breakfast platter, which came with two eggs (cooked to their preference), fresh cucumber, tomato, olives, assorted cheeses, and bread--a perfect spread for a Mediterranean-style brunch. To finish, we treated ourselves to baklava and kunefe paired with more tea. Both desserts were delicious, with the kunefe being especially memorable with its gooey texture and sweetness. Overall, El Turco has a wonderful vibe, attentive service, and a great selection of dishes perfect for sharing. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors! ”
“ You just know a restaurant is a winner when you want to try every item on the menu. A winner of the Michelin Bib Gourmand award several times, El Turco hits all the marks for its food, service and ambiance. Here's what the table ordered to share: Cacik - Shredded cucumber, fresh dill and mint in garlicky yogurt Hummus Sarma - Grape leaves Manti - Homemade tiny beef stuffed dumplings topped with caramelized tomato sauce and garlicky yogurt sauce. We also ordered what looked like a ground lamb pizza. Unfortunately, I do not remember the name but it was delicious. For dessert: Baklava Kunefe - (Turkish Sweet Cheese Pastry)! Cheese is arranged between two layers of Kadayif (shredded phyllo), cooked until golden, and soaked in a sweet syrup topped with pistachios. (this was AH-MAY-ZING!) We also shared a bottle of wine recommended by our waiter. Highly recommend trying El Turco especially if you have yet to visit the Upper Buena Vista area. ”
